I laugh when I hear Copywriters and Marketers say stuff like . . .
“I can sell anything to anybody”
This is a very naive thing to say.
It’s also a very foolish claim.
Listen, about 3 weeks ago,
A top Federal Government Public health Consultant reached out to me via Email . . .
She wanted me to handle 2 marketing campaigns for her.
One for the Federal Government in the public health sector
The other, a personal project.
We scheduled a phone session and somewhere during the 1hour+ call . . .
She wanted to know how fast we could sell out all 500 units of the product for her personal Ecommerce project . . .
I genuinely told her it was impossible to say.
And that we had to start by studying the market first to figure out exactly what the prospects wanted (Not what we “think” they want)
Then, build a solid marketing campaign upon a message that is presented to the target audience as. . . “giving the prospects exactly what they want” . . .
It wasn’t what she wanted to hear.
But she saw my point and was happy with it.
She’s now a client of mine.
Look,
The Secret to selling anything is NOT in having the greatest product . . .
Or the best offer . . .
Or the most compelling copy . .
Sure, these things count much later,
But that’s not the most important thing.
The Secret to selling anything is to . . .
“Find out what people want and help them get it!”
Find out first.
Then offer to help with a product or service
Find out first.
Find out first.
Find out first.
Find out first.
Find out first.
Don’t go creating a product under the impression that you can motivate anybody to buy it.
YOU can’t.
If you want to make money in internet marketing,
You gotta start by making sure what you’re offering is what people really want…
It isn’t what you want that determines what other individuals will buy from you
—IT IS WHAT THEY WANT!
And that answer can only come from them,
Not from you…
Stay frosty.
A.
PS: Everyone is already motivated.
The only question is ‘By what?’
Your job is to find out what it is that motivates your prospect.
And then show him how he can get what he wants through your product or service.
Only then will he buy.
That’s the secret of selling anything.
