You Never Know What The Hell He’s Going to Say Next

It's crazy and laughable at the same time

But this little excerpt below (and the moral behind it) could make a major material difference in how you think about life...

**

If you’re going to try,

Go all the way.

Otherwise, don’t even start.

This could mean losing friends, lovers, relatives and maybe your mind.

It could mean not eating for 3 or 4 days.

It could mean freezing on a park bench.

It could mean jail.

It could mean derision.

It could mean mockery–isolation.

Isolation is the gift.

All the others are a test of your endurance,

Of how much you really want to do it.

And, you’ll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds.

And it will be better than anything else you can imagine.

If you’re going to try, go all the way.

There is no other feeling like that.

You will be alone with the gods,

And the nights will flame with fire.

You will ride life straight to perfect laughter.

It’s the only good fight there is

-Charles Bukowski.

**

I started studying Bukowski for the very first time in 2017, beginning with arguably one of his most widely-read works,

The Post Office.

But it was Factotum that had the most impact on me

And that's where 60% of this message came from.

But is there a Copywriting lesson in there?

You bet!

More on that in a minute.

But first, an important observation that may interest YOU:

Studying the works of Charles Bukowski is very much like reading Gary Halbert's newsletters...

Bukowski writes with gusto and uses raw but simple everyday language to drive his point home!

Nothing is off limits to write about and...

You never know what the hell he's going to say next.

And here's the Copywriting lesson:

When you're writing your sales letters, your reader should never be able to predict what you're going to say next.

Never.

You want to keep your reader salivating until the very end where you throw in your sales pitch and your offer...

And do it in a way that, as she reads through your copy...

She can't wait to see how it ends.

It's called momentum.

And if you get the momentum for your copy right,

You'll make 10x more sales than your next door neighbor who doesn't even know jack about how to use momentum to sell.

Stay frosty.

Andy

PS: Say it!

I know you.

I know you're not satisfied.

And I know you want a classic example of how you can use momentum to write sales letters

So here's a LINK to a sales letter that does it superbly well:

The New Economy

Maybe I'll give you more examples later.

For now, just open that LINK and read the entire sales letter.
